Garden Inspired Green Tablescape Styled 3 Ways
Awwww Spring! With spring comes so many occasions to set a special table. When I set out to style my Garden Inspired Green Tablescape, I was not just thinking about spring, but had Easter and Mother’s Day in mind as well. Since I couldn’t decide on which occasion to style the table for, I did all three!

So, today I’m showing you how a few simple changes can take a table from one occasion to the next this spring.
I’m also joining 15 other talent bloggers as they share their vision for a spring tablescape. Thank you to Rita from the blog Panoply for organizing this fun blog hop! You’ll find links to all the tablescapes from these talented table stylists at the end of this post!
For now, grab your favourite beverage and read on for how a few simple changes made one green tablescape work three different ways!
Let’s start with table styled for Easter, shall we!
There are so many ways to style a table for Easter. This Pink and Gold Easter Table was certainly a favourite! This year I looked to the garden for inspiration. And, this time of year there is a lot of green as the daffodils and hellebore are just starting to poke through the soil.
While I did purchase a couple of things for this table, the moss covered Easter bunnies at $3.99 each from Party City, and the tablecloth from HomeSense, everything else was shopped from my own kitchen and craft cupboard.

Choose a dinner plate or charger that works with all three table styles
These dark green stoneware plates are the foundation for each place setting throughout. I often think of green as a neutral colour and you can see how well it pairs with pops of colour, like these adorable tiny faux carrots a friend brought me from Hobby Lobby.

I arranged these bright yellow tulips in a clear vase tied with a green ribbon. Green Easter eggs are scattered around the table. Green and yellow are very spring-like colour combination.

The moss covered Easter bunnies add a festive touch.
When styling a table, no matter what the occasion, using layers is a wonderful way to add dimension and interest. I have used the same textured Laura Ashley tan tablecloth for all 3 table styles today.
This tablescape for Easter has an off white place mat with green stripes layered under the green plate, tan napkins and faux carrot, creating a total of 5 layers for each place setting. The delicate lace edge on the napkins add additional texture.
Gold flatware compliment the brass candlesticks that hold tall green taper candles.

Bundles of larger faux carrots sit beside aged clay pots that hold artificial green plants that are thrift store finds.

Clear ridged water/wine glasses finish off each place setting. If you look close you can see the subtle gold rim. It is hard to pick up with the camera, but it compliments the gold flatware nicely.

What do you think of this festive garden inspired green tablescape for Easter? Garden elements include fresh tulips, green potted plants, faux carrots and adorable garden moss covered Easter bunnies!
How to style a Garden Inspired Green Tablescape for Mother’s Day
Let’s have a look at how I switched out just a few things from the Easter table decor to create a pretty table for Mother’s Day.

Change the centrepiece
Let’s start with the centrepiece! A simple collection of green and peach bud vases in 2 different sizes, each with a single stem of peach coloured mums. Simple and inexpensive, as the bud vases were a deal at Michael’s for 60% off! Less than $10 for all 5 of them.

Different Place Mats
Changing the place mats is another simple change that totally changes the look of the table. I found these gorgeous cork place mats at HomeSense and couldn’t resist them. They were the inspiration for the centrepiece. With the sturdy cork backing and washable linen textured surface, I’ll leave these out on my dining table all season!
Add a Feminine Salad Plate

These simple salad plates with the delicate pattern around the edges add a feminine nod to this Mother’s Day table. They pair perfectly with the green dinner plates. I put the napkin above the plates and topped it with the dessert spoon.
Change the Glassware
Simply changing the glassware to these peach wine/water goblets added a punch of the accent colour while tying in with all the colours of the placemat.

The same gold flatware, napkins, candlesticks, candles and green faux plants haven’t been changed. I did add a little ceramic robin. It reminds me of the ones that are returning to our garden!

What I Purchased for this Mother’s Day Table
I did purchase the salad plates at $5.99 each from HomeSense, the bud vases, and the cork place mats, $19.99, also from HomeSense. I was a bit unsure about spending $20 on those, but I know I will use them often and they are made to last.

Garden elements on this table include the place mats, the garden mums, the faux plants and of course the robin!
I think this garden inspired tablescape for Mother’s Day is my favourite of the three! What do you think?
Everyday Tablescape for Spring
Last, but certainly not least, I switched up a few things to create an everyday tablescape for the spring season. While I kept this spring table decor simple, this colourful Fruit and Flowers Spring Table remains a reader favourite!
Same Tulips, Different Vessel
In keeping with the garden inspired theme, I easily created a whole new centrepiece just by switching the vase, to this green metal Ikea “bucket” I purchased years ago.

New Plate Stack Using Same Green Plates
Everything on this spring table I shopped from my home. The rattan placemats are light and airy, just like spring!

I topped the same green dinner plates with white napkins that have a subtle green and gray striped border. For an informal feel, I placed the same gold flatware on top of the napkin instead of beside the plate.
Both green and clear goblets for wine and water are at each place setting.

I found these adorable cream and sugar dishes just the other day at Goodwill. I was on the hunt for some for an afternoon tea for my daughter’s upcoming bridal shower and couldn’t believe my luck! The pattern is “Tapestry” from Royal Daulton and they were just $3.99 each! Best bargain in a long time!

The same faux green plants in aged terracotta plants flank the tulip centrepiece. A simple pillar candle will add some ambience in the evening.

Garden elements on this table styled for spring include the tulips, the faux plants, the placemats and the fruit and vegetables on the cream and sugar dishes.
There you have it! A Garden Inspired Green Tablescape styled three different ways! Which one is your favourite?!

I love all three of these table settings. Isn’t it fun to swap out a few things and come up with something entirely new? I tend to do that a lot. I love the carrots here. I used some faux carrots in my tablesetting today, and really like that orange punch of color.
Maureen how delightful that we get 3 tablescapes in one! You have certainly shown us how easy it is by changing out just a few pieces. What I particularly like is these occasions are so close on the calendar and yet you cover the time period. This makes it easy for those who are at a loss on how to decorate for each one. I’ve always utilized using different vases for the same flower arrangement and it is amazing the difference it makes. As a footnote, it works for faux flowers too. Have a Happy Spring…
Maureen, if I had to choose, I’d go with the middle version, simply because I love the look of a pretty salad plate layered on a dinner plate. Each one nicely sets the other off. That said, all three versions are lovely. I’m enamored of interesting glassware and each table held charming examples. The tulips of course are gorgeous!
Very pretty Maureen. Three tables to enjoy. Love the yellow tulips in the vase. Those mint green glasses are lovely. I love mixing and matching to get different looks for each table. Shopping our home is always fun and so creative. Love the moss bunny and carrots too. So many choices. Happy spring.
Maureen, pretty details! The yellow tulips make me want to run to Trader Joe’s and buy a bouquet. They are perfect for this table. Love the green salad plates too. I’ve never been to a Home Sense. Not sure they are in Austin. I know you will enjoy your new finds. Happy Spring!
Maureen, I so happy to see your ideas using variations on the green. I agree with you in that green is almost the neutral color for Spring. It appears that everything can be paired with green and it looks stunning. I absolutely love your Mother’s Day idea using the green with peach. And using various green and peach bottles with florals makes for a simple elegance to the table. The floral placemat with the green, peach and bird is a match made in heaven. I also gravitate to your lovely green striped placemat and your line textured glasses. They are pure subtle elegance along with the touches of moss items. Such beautiful ideas. Happy Easter.
Oh Maureen, this is fabulous! Wow. I love all three tables and the yellow tulips are so pretty. You have so many cute accent pieces and those peach and green bud vases are beautiful. It must have been so much fun putting these tables together and thanks for all the wonderful inspiration. I’m a bit envious that your daffodils are coming up – her we just have snow lol. It was great hopping with you and wishing a happy spring and wonderful Easter.
