24 Valentine’s Day Table Decoration Ideas
Do you set a special Valentine’s Day table? Today I am joining my favourite table decor loving friends to bring you 24 Valentine’s Day table decoration ideas that will inspire you!
If you have visited any of my table decoration posts before you know that I like to be resourceful and either use what I have, borrow from friends or spend as little as possible to create my vision. This Valentine’s Day tablescape was no different.
When I got to thinking about my Valentine table decorations, I knew I wanted to use as many things as I could that I already had at home. I pulled out my favorite white porcelain dinner plates, pink melamine luncheon plates, gold rimmed water goblets inherited from my Nana, and champagne flutes. With the basics established I pulled things together from there.
I had picked up a dozen roses to for last week’s market flower Monday post, where I show you step by step how to arrange roses, so the centerpiece was decided.
The pink hue of the roses and the gold rimmed goblets lead me in the direction of a pink and gold tablescape. But, I didn’t have napkins I or a table runner that really complemented my theme. I thought why not use wrapping paper as a table runner since it is inexpensive, reusable, and recyclable!
If I bring anymore cloth napkins into the house Tim might just have turned me back around. I was browsing around Marshall’s when this roll of pink and gold polka dot wrapping paper caught my eye. Only $3.99. Sold. And, as luck would have it, while I was waiting in the cleverly arranged check-out lineup bordered with loads of little things you don’t need but just have to have, I spotted these adorable gold bee napkins for only $3.00 for a package of 32!
To add some color to the table, I poured my Valentine’s Day Blush cocktail in each of the four champagne flutes.
Since the centerpiece wasn’t very large, I added a pretty tray and sprinkled on some heart shaped candy and ribbon.
Since no Valentine table decoration is complete without some sweet treats, I whipped up this sweetheart strawberry galette for dessert, and had some leftover mini cupcakes that fit the theme!
Another special touch when planning table decorations for any occasion is a little take-away for your guests! I used my Cricut Maker to make these Valentine’s treat boxes that look like crackers. I will be sharing a step by step how-to soon!
I will show you what goodies I put inside these little packages, but first a few more photos!
Who doesn’t love a surprise? Especially when it involves chocolate!
I hope I have inspired you to gather some things from around your home and set a pretty Valentine’s day table for your favorite gal pals or that special someone!
But now, on to the 23 other Valentine’s day table decoration ideas I have to share today. Scroll down and click each link. I have seen all these pretty tables and there is definitely something for everyone!

Thank you Cecilia!
You created a really cute table and I like the polka dot runner you created. The paper napkins added a nice touch and I especially like the crackers you made. Very resourceful and creative design!
Thanks Liz! I was so glad I found those napkins!
Wonderful and lovely Maureen! I love the marshmallow hearts on the glasses, so cute! The touches of gold are elegant with the soft pinks, and oh la la, your food looks incredible! The crackers full of goodies at each place is such a fun idea!
Thank you Jenna! I am so glad I found the pattern for the crackers! They add a little fun without breaking the bank!
Maureen, what a great and thrifty way to make a Valentine table. Love the gift wrap runner and those marketers sure know us well with product placement at those checkouts, don’t they? The napkins are great and can be used well beyond next week’s celebration. Thanks for showing how it can be done with little to no money spent. Please pass me a piece of that galette!
Thank you Rita! I decorate tables so often I need to be frugal, but don’t want to sacrifice style!
Maureen, how pretty your table is. The soft pink plates are a lovely addition. Love the polka dot paper runner, roses are always so romantic . Champagne is perfect and those cute marshmallow hearts on each glass is so creative and fun. Love your pink crackers you made.
Thank you Linda! It was a fun table to style! When it was all said and done, I realized how much I love the combination of blush pink and gold!
Oh Maureen, bee still my heart! If you know anything about me and my blog, I fancy myself as Queen Deb-bee. I have a large collection of bee tableware (and used new bee napkin rings in my blog hop Valentines table). Soooo, I loved how you incorporated those bee paper napkins. I can’t get to Marshall’s fast enough…! I’m also inspired by your use of wrapping paper as a runner. Now I’m all a buzz about future tables using that same clever tip.
Aren’t they the cutest napkins! I am going to try and find stencil with my Cricut to paint the bee on a set of my cloth napkins!
Oh my gosh Maureen ! Pretty!! Pretty!! Pretty!!!
It’s Wonderful !!
There are some really lovely ideas-from the confetti polka dot runner to the pink marshmallow on the rim of your glasses. Great use of items that I didn’t think of using. The gold napkins are lovely contrast to the pink plates. The pink roses and so lovely and the pink candy crackers make such a lovely touch and treat. Happy Valentine’s Day.
Brilliant to use wrapping paper as a runner Maureen! I’m loving those bee napkins too. Your pretty pink table and take away boxes are perfect for Valentine’s Day! As always it’s a pleasure to blog hop with you. ♥
Marsha, I love the gift wrap, I have done that a couple of times! Your table is so pretty and I admire that you made such a lovely table with what you had on hand! The heart marshmallows are too cute on your drink. Happy Valentine’s Day and it has been a pleasure blog hopping with you this week!
Oops, I meant to say Maureen. I am so sorry!

On more than on occasion, I’ve been unable to resist those cleverly placed items at the checkout line. Using wrapping paper is a pretty and economical idea for a runner and it’s easier to store than actual tablecloths. I love your Cricut boxes with the treats and I will have to check out your post on arranging roses.
Marketing genius, those checkout lines! Thank you for your kind comments!
