Strawberry Gin and Tonic
Who is ready for a cocktail?! This strawberry gin and tonic is a fruity twist on a classic.
Did you know that Gin is distilled with botanicals? Me either! And, even better a single shot of gin has only around 60 calories! A little tonic water and strawberry simple syrup makes for a refreshing drink that doesn’t break the calorie bank! This strawberry gin and tonic just might become your new favorite cocktail!
While this yummy drink is perfect for a warm summer day, it’s bright strawberry color makes it a very impressive Valentine’s cocktail too!
Since Valentine’s Day is only a few weeks away, I am joining a few of my cocktail loving friends in sharing some fun cocktail recipes that are perfect for February 14th!
My mother’s favorite cocktail, as it turns out, was a gin gimlet! I once had a sip and found it to be way too sour for me. Not surprising given it is gin and lime juice!
This strawberry syrup flavored cocktail is slightly sour, but mostly sweet and fruity. And, I am definitely a fruity cocktail kind of girl!
Gin and tonics can be served in either or a low ball glass or high ball. I opted to use these pretty crystal high balls from Ralph Lauren in the “plaid” pattern. I picked them up at Home Sense for under $10 each!
